Camping Pods at Red Dragon

Fancy Camping but not sleeping in a tent?  Want a proper bed and electric to charge your phone? Then our Pods are for you. Cosy and warm, sleeping 2 people mean you can have the camping experience safe in the knowledge that if it rains or blows you will still be warm and dry? No sleepless nights thinking you are going to be blown away and outside checking the poles every 20 minutes – I assume we have all had camping trips like that?

We have eight custom-built pods, equipped with all the basics you could require for a tent-less trekking holiday. Enjoy your morning panad (Welsh for cuppa) in bed with the door flung open and taking in the view across the Nantgwynant Valley. Each Pod has its own kettle, so you don’t even have to get out of bed to make it!

Our 4 self-contained bathrooms are within a stones’ throw of the Pods with plentiful hot water and we are blessed with great water pressure for a powerful shower – so the memories are queuing across a field for a cold dribble of a shower are just that – a distant memory.

The courtyard with picnic benches and BBQ area means you can relax, catch up with friends or other guests and plan you day in the hills.  A small communal kitchenette for to make toast or make scrambled egg in the microwave is next to the wash up area.

No matter what you may think it does not always rain in Wales – but if it does the laundry with coin operated washer and dryer mean you can dry any wet gear and wash any muddy kit ready to start again!

We can help with bike hire  and planning adventures  and our friendly team, are knowledgeable about the local attractions and area and will happily chat to you about where to go and what to do and more importantly, the best local pubs, not forgetting Beddgelert’s award winning ice cream  and pizza.

Your 4-legged friend is welcome to come along and share in all the fun – we like dogs more than people normally (ssssssh did I say that out loud!). and of course, we know where all the dog friendly pubs are!
